Order your Binnie
We post it to your door. Every Binnie has its own code printed on the base — you’ll use it during setup.
Plug it in
Anywhere you’ll spot it: the hallway shelf, the kitchen windowsill. It runs off USB-C and sips power.

The iPhone app connects to your Binnie over Bluetooth and hands over your WiFi details directly — they never touch our servers.

Your council’s collection schedule is looked up automatically — no typing in dates, no calendar subscriptions. If you’re the first Bright Binnie household in your area, we add support for your council while your Binnie is in the post, so it works from the day it arrives.
And because the colours live in our system rather than in the device, a new bin colour in your area is a five-minute change on our side — never a new gadget on yours.

Does it work with my council?
Yes — Bright Binnie works with every UK council. If you’re the first Bright Binnie household in your area, we add your council’s collection schedule while your order is in the post, so your Binnie works from the day it arrives.
When does the Binnie glow?
From midday the day before a collection until 9am on collection day. Outside those hours it stays dark.
Why would a black bin glow white?
Because a black glow is no glow at all. Black bins show as a bright white light, so you can actually see them — every other bin glows its own colour.
What if two bins go out on the same day?
The display splits into stripes, one for each colour that’s due — so you can see at a glance that it’s a green-and-brown day.
What do I need at home?
A WiFi network and a USB-C power source. You set the Binnie up with our iPhone app: your WiFi details pass straight from your phone to the Binnie over Bluetooth and never touch our servers.
Can I buy more than one?
Yes — up to ten in a single order. Each Binnie has its own code printed on the base, so they’re easy to tell apart during setup.
