The public information used to turn your address into a useful bin reminder.
Council collection information
Bright Binnie retrieves collection dates and bin descriptions from the public services operated by the councils below. Stockport and Cheshire East publish their information for reuse under the Open Government Licence v3.0; Wigan, Trafford, Rossendale and St Albans have given written permission for Bright Binnie’s configured low-frequency reminder use. We use a property identifier only to retrieve the schedule for the address supplied by that customer; we do not republish postcode-wide address lists.

Stockport and Cheshire East collection information contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Wigan, Trafford, Rossendale and St Albans information is used under the written permissions received for the service.

Great Britain postcode lookups are provided by postcodes.io. Its published data credits are:

Northern Ireland’s BT postcode data needs a separate commercial licence that Bright Binnie does not currently hold, so ordering and app address setup are presently limited to England, Scotland and Wales.

Bright Binnie is an independent product. It is not operated, sponsored or endorsed by postcodes.io or any council. Council information can change; the council’s own website remains the official source for collection arrangements.
